Technical Tour in Finmeccanica e MBDA: 24 maggio 2016

The Technical Program of“Advances in Antenna Measurements, with a Feature Spot on SKA Metrological Issues” broadly encompasses many topics related to Antenna Measurements, in order to involve the Antenna Measurements community as much as possible. There is a focus spot on the Square Kilometre Array (SKA), the world’s largest radiotelescope (https://www.skatelescope.org), which is still in progress today, to introduce the community to some of the issues that such a challenging project raises.

The SKA lectures will be given by Prof. Steven Tingay (Director of ORA, Italian National Institute of Astrophysics and Director of the first SKA precursor), and by Prof. David B. Davidson (Distinguished Professor & SA SKA Research Chair in Engineering Electromagnetics, Univ. Stellenbosch, South Africa).

The program also includes many other outstanding Speakers, and the full list is available on the Regional Event website here.

On Tuesday, May 24, a Technical Tour to Finmeccanica and MBDA is planned, allowing us to visit the facilities of two leading companies in the Defense market. Please note that if you wish to participate in the tours, we will need you to register in advance, providing your ID information so that the visitor list can be cleared with the host facilities.

In addition to the planned oral lectures, the Naples Regional Event will also include a poster session. We cordially invite you to participate in the poster session by following the submission instructions on the Regional Event Website here. There will be prizes given for the top posters selected, including 3 copies of the book “Antenna Analysis and Design Using FEKO Electromagnetic Simulation Software”)  by Atef Z. Elsherbeni  (Author), Payam Nayeri  (Author), C. J. Reddy  (Author and AMTA 2016 Regional Event Invited Speaker).
