The second edition of the International Workshop on Metamaterials-by-Design
Theory, Methods, and Applications to Communications and Sensing
will be held on December 15-16, 2016, in Riva del Garda (Trento), Italy
(http://www.2016-metamaterials-workshop.eu/).
The main objective of the Workshop (which is technically co-sponsored
by ACES, EuMA, METAMORPHOSE, and URSI Commission B) will be to present
a comprehensive overview of the latest advances and emerging trends in
the theory, methods, and applications of the Material-by-Design paradigm.
To this end, the Workshop will feature the Keynote Presentations by

- Prof. Douglas H. WERNER Penn State University, USA
The Workshop will also feature two Round Tables (involving major industrial
players in the field) as well as peer-reviewed contributions (abstract submission
deadline: September 30, 2016). Selected papers accepted and presented at the Workshop
will be offered the possibility to be extended and published in the upcoming Special
Section on “Multiscale and Multiphysics Computation for Metamaterials - Theory and
Applications” of the IEEE Journal on Multiscale and Multiphysics Computational Techniques.
