Special Issue on
Wireless Sensor Network for Environmental Monitoring
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have attracted an increasing attention in recent years because of the large number of potential applications which range from agricultural management, to surveillance purposes, from sport to monitoring purposes.
The environmental care has become a big concern for almost every country in the last few years: the local authorities became conscious that to the industrialization level that has been increasing without any control in the last decades, and now are necessary more environmental friendly solutions.
At the same time, environmental monitoring challenges are increased due to new policies of environmental and territory protection, disaster management, real time monitoring capabilities and the possibility to deploy WSN in harsh environment for real time monitoring of physical or chemical parameters. The present special issue will focus on high level researches and state-of-the-art in the areas of WSNs for environmental monitoring.
In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Wireless Sensor Network for Environmental Monitoring (http://www.scirp.org/journal/htmlOfSpecialIssue.aspx?ID=2541&JournalID=41#.Vq7SXCwjorw).
