Biography Info

I was born in Padova, Italy, in 1964. I received the Laurea degree (cum laude) in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. in Telecommunications from the University of Padova.
From 1993 to 1994, I was with the Department of Mathematics and
Statistics, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. From 1994 to 1998,
I was Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics and Informatics, University of Padova. In 1997 I have been appointed as Visiting Researcher at the University of Limoges. Since 1998 I am with the University of Brescia, where I am Full Professor of Electromagnetic Fields since 2004. In 2010 and 2011 I have been appointed as Visiting Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
I have been former Director of the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Brescia.
My technical interests are in nanophotonics, optical antennas and graphene photonics, in the linear and non-linear regimes.
