The Italian Society of Electronics (SIE) in collaboration with the Department of Information Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications of Sapienza University of Rome organises the 3rd SIE Conference on Higher Education in Electronics on 22nd and 23rd February 2018 (

The conference will take place in the historical site of the Faculty of Information Engineering, Informatics and Statistics of Sapienza in San Pietro in Vincoli .
The main topic of the conference this year is on “Which contents for a new educational proposal in Electronics”.
The conference program includes three invited talks of world class international experts on higher education:
Dr. Donald Clark, CEO of Wildfire, UK, “Education is a slow learner: What science has to teach us about learning and what we should do in response”,
Prof. Yannis Tvidis, Columbia University, USA, “Turning students on to circuits”,
Prof. Joos Vandewalle, KU Leuven, Belgium, “Current challenges and opportunities for Electrical Engineering Education”.
A discussion will be fostered on a new “syllabus” for the courses in Electronics in the L08 Bachelor (Laurea) programs and on the requirements to enter the LM-29 Master (Laurea Magistrale) programs.
